What is LuaDevKit?
LuaDevKit, commonly known as LDK, is a program designed for Lua
developers, especially for the PSP (PlayStation Portable) games console.
It aims to speed up your development tenfold- how? By being more than
just an IDE, LDK has every peice of current Lua code, along with all of
the current Lua libraries added also (netlib, ssLib, animLib etc...).
LDK also has some common codes added in, for example basic animation,
basic collision and a basic menu, along with some image manipulation
functions. More of them to come ASAP. It also contains such thing s as a
preview window, for testing our your newly created code, and an inline
chat system, so you can talk to other developers using the application
at the time.
--Note, some of these features may not be present in the
current release.
How long did it take to make?
So far the development has consisted of over 100 hours of work, with an
average of over 5 hours a day for 20 days, so, not a short time at all!
However, I'd say its worth it.
How many big issues have you come across?
Lots, however there has only been one gigantic one, which was solved by
Yaustar, and I'd like to extend a massive thanks to him as a result-
without him you probably wouldn't have a LDK (at least not for a while). |
